These are about … more 1960s Rare & Stunning Crackled Glazed Ceramic Modern Asian Lamps in the manner of James Mont, Pair
These are about as sleek, elegant, yet beautifully neutral, and carefully crackled to really lend to that mid century vintage appeal. These are the most perfect pale creamy beige tones with ever faintest gray speckles mixed in. Both topped off with a modern cinched Asian black metal bow with tiny hints of warmth in the metal. The top, bottom and finials are made out of fabricated metal with an antique bronze finish.
I’ve never seen these before or since and they’ve been a show stopper in the home and always asked about.
Measurements: 29”H X 7.5”W — With the circumference around the widest point of the ceramic body at 23.5”
Each lamp has 2 lightbulb sockets, where a medium base torpedo type bulb is recommended, and accepts a 1-way or 2-way torpedo bulb on each side for different lighting strengths. The lamps turn on using a dial switch on the cord. Both are in excellent working condition.
The lamps do not come with shades. However, I would recommend a classic Asian drum cymbal shaped shade in either a similar matching metal color or in white/cream in order to fit the dimensions of the top of the lamp where the finial sits. The height of where the shade would sit is 25.5 inches from the table. less
