They are hand-forged, and likely date from the late 18th to mid-19th century. The simplicity of their design, their height and curves, and their excellent proportions contribute to their distinctive character. Despite. their age they are in good condition -- and are heavy. They would complement and add authenticity to an historic setting and/or fireplace. less
