Antique Victorian Cast Iron Oak New Harvard Dictionary Stand Holder Flanagan Copper Flash Finish
A rare high end antique Victorian style cast iron Dictionary book holder or Bible holder stand. Dates back to the 1900s. States New Harvard Dictionary instructions on the book holder. Also on the wood book holder it has two dark instruction labels that states New Harvard Dictionary. The book holder below states Geo J. Flanagan Chicago Ill. The book clamp is to lock in a large dictionary or Bible. Fancy cast iron clamp with Jappaned Copper Flash decorations. Solid oak wood book binder. Adjusts for thickness of the book. Swivels and opens up your book. Steel leg base with the copper flash finish theme. Adjusts up or down and locks into position. Very nice condition and ready for your home or office. 43 inches tall. Base is 18 inches by 18 inches. Will be shipped disassembled. Very easy to reassemble. Please note all photos for they too are a part of our descriptions. Inv. eec

Book and Dictionary Holders, The Flanagan, With Casters
The head adjusts to any desired angle by a thumb screw. The heads are made of highly polished and dark oak varnished woods, are operated by double acting incased springs and made of Bessemer Steel and are absolutely unbreakable. The head is pivoted to turn any position.
The entire base is made of cold rolled steel. consequently it is non breakable. The method of setting it up is simple and firm. The steel base has a wide spread, four legs, and is light and very strong.
