The exterior of the brush pot is formed of finely carved, bamboo stalks in heavy bas-relief, bracketed by a finely carved bands of cloud and thunder meanders and ornate, ganoderma, Ru Yi lappets at the rim and a band of squarish, Ru Yi lappets at the foot. A six character, Qianlong, reign mark in Zhuanshu script is finely carved to the inset base. Circa Republic of China era. See less
