Extendable Writers Desk by Lane Furniture. Floating drawer bank and a drop-hinge at attached leaf.
This is a perfectly quaint desk, best for your home office space. It has that modern silhouette with a floating drawer bank and thin, tapered legs. The tabletop has been refinished to bring the life back into it. A two-toned finish with a blonde apron edge and a dark walnut finish at top and base. There is a pinstripe border along the perimeter, giving a hint of sophistication.
There is a drop hinge that pops into place when lifted. Mix of solids and veneers, makers mark in drawer and table base.

This piece shows signs of wear consistent with age and use. Minor wear marks and light marks on surface throughout are visible. The tabletop and drawer fronts have been lightly sanded with a light lacquer finish. The rest of the framework has been thoroughly cleaned and finished in wood oil for a fresh finish leaving original patina and character. Few dark marks in the top grain, one small nick at front edge, one small nick at the back bottom corner of drawer bank. No major chips or nicks. See photos and close ups for reference.
