Ye Olde Willow Staffordshire dinner platter with the traditional and timeless blue willow transfer scene.
Blue willow patterns date to the 1700's and became a popular decorating theme at dinner tables throughout Europe and the Americas. Today, this pattern is found in mixed decorating settings to offer a pop of old world flavor and chinoiserie style.
This platter is in good condition for a 100+ year old piece. There are no chips, cracks or stains. There is crazing (crackling) in the glaze, consistent with Staffordshire pottery from this period.
