The light relief effect is created by the different methods of treating the velvet, cut and uncut. The fabric is particularly suitable for upholstery. This velvet is inspired by the tapestries “verdure” of the period and named after Louis XIV’s preferred castle located near Paris. The landscape architect for Château de Marly had created paths through the woods lined by trellis’ in order to contain the exuberance of the robust trees that filled the grounds. Pulling inspiration from these wonderful woods and tapestries of the time, Colony created the beloved Marly design.

These custom made pillows have the beautiful cut and uncut verdure velvet fabric on the front and the reverse side is made from plush olive green mohair. With this large repeat no two pillows are alike and they are all beautiful!

Verdure velvet fabric made in Italy - Fabric content: 72% Linen 18% Cotton 10% Viscose Dry clean. Genuine mohair on the reverse side.
Filled with plump 10/90 down/feather inserts and sewn with a hidden zipper closure at the bottom. less
