The white marble has creamy, swirls of gold, highlighted with sparkling, light and dark flecks of gold—no pitting, nicks, scratches or staining. The flared leaf pattern on the pedestal, resembles angelic wings—very striking!
Take note that the design of this piece pulls towards crisp, clean and angular lines—in contrast to the overly ornate carving, graceful and rounded flow of the popular Victorian pieces that were being produced during this time period. This trend was slowly transitioning towards cleaner and more practical lines. Total weight at 21.4 lbs. less
