Born in the early 1970s, Lanre Ayuba studied painting under the tutelage of Rufus Ogundele (1946-1996), a prominent figure in the Oshogbo School. Ayuba is known for his abstract/cubist paintings depicting figures composed of geometric forms and bright expressive colors. His works are regularly exhibited in Nigeria and abroad. This piece was acquired at a gallery show in Houston, TX.
