Crafted in Limoges, France, in the 1890s, this exquisite piece features charming putti (cherubic figures) playing with a garland of roses on the lid. The shell and floral embossed design of the bowl and lid adds texture and refinement, while the soft pale pink background with delicate brushed gilding enhances its vintage appeal.
It's increasingly rare to find antique French dresser boxes in such lovely condition, as many lids were lost or broken with daily use. This piece does have a small, professionally repaired chip on the inside of the lid, which is invisible when closed.
