These are very well made and collectable pair of chairs, the frames are solid mahogany, circa 1880-1900, they have traditional coil sprung bases with hessian padding and webbing. They have been reupholstered in aniline leather within the last five years, sealed with hand nailed antiqued studs. I have had them washed back to the plain leather, then hand dyed six times this wonderful deep rich brown, they have then been sealed and waxed down These are a true original his and hers pair, one is slightly smaller and more of a club chair where as the other is a pure wingback, both have a slightly more relaxed seating position than normal.
