We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning Antique French Neoclassical centre table with ornately carved Sphinx pillared legs … Read more We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning Antique French Neoclassical centre table with ornately carved Sphinx pillared legs which is part of a suite This table is part of a suite as mentioned, I also have a rather lovely pair of large armchairs with the same Sphinx carvings on the arms, the chairs are not included in this sale but are listed under my other items This table is a real tour de force of craftsmanship, clearly made for an exhibition, it dates to the late 19th century France, it would have sat in a lovely parlor or study Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expert from a period used piece Dimensions Height:- 75.5cm Width:- 106cm Depth:- 106cm Under leg height:- 71cm Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
