The chairs came from the descendant of a former employee of the ship, he was charged with disposing of some of the furniture during a renovation in the 1960's, he chose to keep these four as a souvenir i'm not sure where exactly they would have been used, they are fantastic quality so i can't imagine they would have been used on the second or third class decks, perhaps in a library or study we have cleaned waxed and polished the timber from top to bottom, they have some normal age and use related patina marks in the timber as you would expect, the fabric is mostly in good order, there are some light marks here and there dimensions height:- 85cm width:- 56.5cm depth:- 56.5cm seat height:- 48cm please note all measurements are taken at the widest point condition please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade. less
