We are delighted to offer for sale lovely circa 1940’s light walnut king size headboard with built in pair of bedside tables made by the walnut cabinet works which is part of a large suite this piece is part of a suite as mentioned, i have in total the dressing table, two wardrobes, one of which is very large the other is large with internal storage, the headboard with built in side tables and lastly a chest of drawers. This sale is for the piece mentioned above only, the other lots can be found under my other items this piece is well made, decorative and very nice in the light walnut. The internal width is wide enough to take a king size bed, if you prefer the headboard can be simply unscrewed and you have a lovely pair of bedside, lamp or wine tables condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, it may have normal age and use related patina marks here and there, the only marks i can see are on top of the right bedside table where a plant must have been resting, otherwise its perfect dimensions height:- 117cm width:- 230cm depth:- 34cm internal dimensions height:- under headboard 49cm width:- 153cm inside the legs, 156cm inside the frame depth:- 32cm please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
