The history of the items is that Lord Rothschild in the 1980’s leased the property, at that time the house was restored, the pieces furnished the offices, meeting rooms and the newly restored State rooms. Included with each listing is a picture of the piece in situs. The sale includes one original picture of the desk in situs at the Spencer house in The main office This would have been in the house from way before Princess Diana’s birth right up to 2022, the good lady as we know started dating Prince Charles around the age of 16 years old so chances are the princess could have sat or even worked at this very desk Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be some age and use related patina marks here and there, mostly its in fine order. There are some marks on the outside panel of the knee hole space, this is from a visitors chair being placed up against it. it is honest patina which is why I've left it in place Dimensions Height:- 79cm Width:- 167.5cm Depth:- 83.5cm Leg height:- 61.5cm Leg width:- 64.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
