Polychrome Raphaelesque-style tin-glazed earthenware salt cellar, decorated with figures holding books on either side. Deruta, Italy circa 1600. This is a very old salt cellar and has damage consistent with age. There is one glaze flake on the book as shown in pictures. There may be other areas with small flea bites and some rough spots. Please view images carefully as we’ve tried to reflect the actual condition and natural flaws of this piece.
