A fine pair of late 19th Century Japanese Meiji period Imari porcelain gourd form vases, have beautifully painted chrysanthemums & peonies, decorated with floral & foliate designs with an array of other exquisite flowers & leafy flowering branches in the background. An amazing Imari palette of iron reds and cobalt blue tone glazes with gold gilt highlights throughout on off white background.
These exquisite Antique Japanese porcelain vases from the 19th century were custom-made into electric table lamps with wonderful beautiful Asian carved square wood-footed bases Circa 1890. The Imari vases alone measure 17 inches in height (without the pedestal bases included).
The lamps measure 30 1/2 inches in total height and have 2 switches, one switch at top of lamp socket & a separate switch on the cord. Both lamps include wood-carved bases, harps & beautiful round heavy metal finials. These unique double gourd form vases with intricate decorative Imari designs make the pair stunning pieces of art, true treasures for any collector of Asian antiques & can be placed in any room in the home.
They are in very good condition and the craftsmanship is a true testament to the skill and care that went into creating these magnificent lamps. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a newcomer to the world of antiques, these Imari porcelain vase lamps are super rare, sure to impress, and will make a valuable addition to any collection.
