This is a c 1900 antique illustration that appeared as an insert in the French Revue Illustree publication that dates to that period. It is an antique print from the period. We purchased this lithograph from a Parisian bookseller. It is a RARE find as this image is found as a reproduction from antique print dealers. The illustration is signed in lower right corner by the artist, Philippe Jacques Linder. The image showcases a young woman sitting on a park bench reading a book. She is dressed in period dress and poses, reflects, or ponders in thought. There is a wonderful rich textural quality to the print. Note the impressionistic style in the garden florals and note the rich luxurious fabrics of her dress, blouse and shawl. This is a beauty! It is in clean and pristine condition. Image size is 7 x 10 inches; the full plate measures 9.5 x 12.25 inches.. See less
