Colorful French parrot book plates after noted French zoological illustrator, Jacques Barraband (1768-1809.) Enclosed in bright yellow faux bamboo frames and covered in Tru Vue conservation glass.

Jacques Barraband was a French zoological and botanical illustrator known for lifelike renderings of tropical birds and flowers. His work is considered among the most accurate illustrations made during the early 1800s. Napoleon Bonaparte directly commissioned him.
