Iconic set of two rattan dining accent armchairs made by McGuire. "Cathedral" style dining chairs designed by John McGuire feature a Gothic lancet arch style back with an open fretwork design reminiscent of a Chinese Chippendale style with a trellis fretwork that repairs on the arms. The distinctive set consists of two host armchairs.
The exposed joints are lashed together with cream-colored leather rawhide laces. The chairs have a lovely intentionally aged patina on the finish to mimic age. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a rich tobacco finish accented by the lighter colored leather strapping.
Each chair has a custom upholstered 3” thick seat cushion finished with a damask brocade style fabric in rusts, burgundy, mustard, gold, deep brown and greens. From an estate in Balboa Peninsula, CA. less
