Vintage C.1930's-50's; Hollywood Regency era, Chinoiserie, porcelain ceramic, Blanc de Chin, large, "Geisha," accented piece. This is and was originally, made as a lamp, until such time we acquired said piece, this is as one/you see it, in its current state. It did not have the lamp parts, but has the hardware attached to wood base, in order and capability to have it re-wired as a lamp, and do it justice again, as it was meant to be. Original felted base bottom and wood base as shown herein. Such gorgeous detailing to this lamp abounds.
APPARENTLY PREVIOUS OWNERS USED THIS A A SCULPTURAL ACCENT PIECE, had it made into a lamp, BUT then decided they didn't later on, and removed the hardware. The item was a purchase many years ago in Hong Kong, hence how we came to acquire it, later on in the current condition, BUT can be turned back into a lamp, a seminal one at that too. less
