This unique solid pine console table is from Lane's America Collection - Adaptation "Museum of Folk Art". The Spanish and Indian mission influences from New Mexico of around 1850 are noticeable in the carved decoration of this console. The more simplified geometric lines are typical of examples transplanted into Western America.
This is a very well-made pine table manufactured in the US in the late 1980s with dovetailed drawers. There is one long drawer with 2 knobs for extra storage. This drawer measures 13' x 29.5". The rectangular tabletop has a drop leaf that can extend the tabletop depth from 18" to 29" This is a very versatile piece that can be used as a sofa table, entry table, desk or kitchen table (when leaf is up).
Wear is consistent with the age for pine furniture. Although this table has a distressed finish it has many scratches and little knicks. (See more detail in pictures). This rustic pine piece is fine as is or can be refinished to look perfectly new again. It was purchased new by owner. This console table is from the same collection as the coffee table that I currently have listed on Charish.
