From the press: 'The tranquility, the melancholy of the Kempen landscape with its endless distances, twisted pines, wide skies and meager huts, corresponded perfectly with its soft, poetic, somewhat melancholic nature.' The frame of the painting is a brand new one so it is in a great condition. In our opinion, no further restoration of the painting is needed, there are no stains or bitumen and we believe that it will not need cleaning. less
