Large drop-shaped pendant lamp, model 546 ‘Baton’, designed by the Swedish brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus in Vittsjö. It features an elongated opaline glass shade and a wooden fixture with an integrated cable shortener. This oversized pendant serves as an excellent representation of Scandinavian organic modernism. The distinguished manufacturer Luxus is often closely associated with the brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson, who established the company in an old henhouse in their hometown of Vittsjö in 1950. Initially, it served as a combined lamp factory and radio repair shop. However, the business expanded rapidly, giving rise to a plethora of modernist fixtures. These featured wooden elements crafted in the nearby Vittsjö Furniture Factory, a company founded by the brothers' father. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
