This early 20th century French porcelain set is a stunning addition to any collection.
The porcelain two-piece set which includes the following:
1) Oval-Shaped, squatty, Gravy Server with a double spout, measuring 6" Long x 5.25" wide x 2.75" High;
2) Oval-Shaped Underliner Plate 7.25" Long x 6" wide
Both pieces marked on their bases in red "GDA Limoges in the Red Wreath and GDA FRANCE in Green" Also is the Importer mark which reads " Fabrique pour Burley & Co. Chicago" dating to the 1910's.
The Matching Cream Pitcher seen in the images is stamped R. Delinieres and is sold separately.
Decorated with a deep rich burgundy enameled band which is accented with heavy gold filigree florals and scrolls in a very intricate pattern and gold rim and spouts. Also both pieces are adorned with embossed fleur-di-lis designs which are gilded in gold.
The condition is excellent with only some very very minor gold loss. A perfect set for collectors of decorative items or those who appreciate the beauty of French porcelain of days gone by.
