- Set of 4 Early American pressed glass plates made by the Higbee Glass Co in the pattern Fortuna which was … more Set of 4 Early American pressed glass plates made by the Higbee Glass Co in the pattern Fortuna which was introduced in 1913. Originally made to serve individual portions of butter or cheese, they would also be ideal for serving canapes, cookies, etc. Each one measures 7.5" round. Barely visible in the center of each plate is the company logo, a bee with an H on the left wing, an I in the center and a G on the right wing. less
