The gourd is hollow and is meant to resemble a tribal water gourd. It is 13 inches tall and 12 inches in diameter at the widest point. The carvings include leaf shapes on the sides and a striped pattern at the top. The lid is also carved gourd and is missing a piece (see the 7th photo). This is a beautiful piece of African tribal art. less
