A ceramic vase from mid-20th century Germany. Neither large nor small, this studio made pot reflects the hand-held, and the handmade; the tactility of process and the artist's vision– realized on the potter’s wheel. Striking red and the minimal form make this contemporary object an elevated accent to inhabit your interior.
A popular style throughout the region, the most coveted pieces are marked with a "W.GERMANY" stamp on the bottom. The striking geometric patterns, and textured glazes are reminiscent of the motifs found in the abstract designs of that era. Distinctive styles such as ‘fat lava’ and ‘art pottery’ were produced by many companies and are coveted by collectors.
