Londraville has burst the bounds of the conventional nude study with this terrific painting. And if it seems to stray into the territory of men's magazine illustration, we are certain it's not his fault. Because Londraville goes where his model leads, which is a quality that sets him apart. Quite simply, this fabulous girl has had the delicious and naughty notion to drape herself provocatively, and test this painter's nerve. It's a wild and wonderful work, and we love the sense in it that for once the woman is in control of the male gaze and amusing herself by directing it.
