Description: This charming chandelier is one of a group with matching medium and large versions available (See last photo). It was … more This charming chandelier is one of a group with matching medium and large versions available (See last photo). It was produces by the long time lighting manufacturer Sciolari of Italy, circa 1960-1970. The family company opened its door in 1892. Gaetano Sciolari, an architect, followed in the family business after the passing of his father. He designed many pieces of lighting for other companies earlier in his career until he focused solely on the family business. Gaetano specialized in modern design during the 1960s and 1970s. Many believe this is the time period of his best designs. Many of which were exported to the US for wealthy and chic clients. This is a 3 light chandelier from the "Scultura" series. It has inset white enamel metal panels in the arms to contrast the highly polished chrome finish. Behind some of the panels cast into the arm is the Sciolari Roma signature. Body of chandelier 10 inches in diameter and 22.5 inches to the top of the ring at the top of the central rod. As shown the total height from top of ceiling canopy to bottom of chandelier is 37 inches. Rewired. Candelabra socket. less
