This is an original 19th century John James Audubon hand colored lithograph entitled "Cinnamon Bear", No. 26, Plate CXXVII, 127 from Audubon's "Quadrupeds of North America", printed and colored by J.T. Bowen and published in Philadelphia from 1849-1854.
This original antique hand-colored quadruped lithograph is from Audubon's 19th century work "Quadrupeds of North America", published 1849-1854. It depicts two cinnamon bears, presumably a male and a female, in the midst of a dense forest. One of the bears is sitting in the hollowed out trunk of a tree.
This hand-colored lithograph includes the original descriptive text pages 125-127 from Audubon's publication. There are a few small spots in the margins, but the print is otherwise in excellent condition. less
