Original by its lying shape and by the grainy treatment of its enamel, this pretty Accolay pitcher is an original decorative room. Cleaved and with a handle and a double overflowing and pinched beak, its shape is rare, in accordance with abundant aesthetic research carried out by Acolay ceramists.
The vintage vase is in very good condition. It is signed by double to Accolay potters and still bears its original label.
21cm by 15cm, 15.5cm high.
In the middle of the 20th century, Accolay was the setting for a real ceramic revolution. Four former students of Alexandre Kostanda settled in the small village of the Yonne in the mid -1940s. Many potters will follow their example. For forty years, the production of Accolay potters will be impressive, original and daring.
