Here is a vintage duck hand carved from one piece from a single piece of hardwood. It is extremely difficult to carve a decoy from one piece of wood with no joints.
The figure measures 8-inches long, 4-1/8" tall and 2-3/4" wide. Weighs 9.2 ounces. Signed on the bottom MNS 82.
Carved by a very talented family friend and given to a family member in 1982.
