We love the mix n'match new take on service-ware ..... and this one checks every box, with every color! This is a set of four enameled tin plates in the beautiful Tobacco Leaf pattern, These plates are a fun and beautiful way to bring so much color and incredible design to a casual table scape! The pattern was adapted from a late 18th-, early 19th century Chinese Vase. The original beaker-shaped vase was made in China for the European market.
Tobacco Leaf is one of the most prized of Chinese Export patterns and was developed circa 1780. Examples have also been found in South America, Europe and North America. The design shows the leaves of the flowering Nicotiana (Tobacco) plant with a small phoenix perching. (Hate tobacco, but the leaves are great)!
These plates should be hand washed and dried immediately. The dimensions is 10 inches.
