A beautiful oyster plate from Weimar Germany, Europe, circa early 20th century. Hand painted pink flower and leaf motif adorn the platter. Edges are scalloped and gold leaf specks decorate the rim. Intricate raised Art Nouveau white relief details cover the surface of the plate. Colors include rose pink, green, white, gold. Condiments or lemon wedges can be placed in the center. The platter is divided so that 6 oysters can be served. A beautiful piece for a table setting, indoors or out. Great platter with 6 wells for entertaining / serving oysters or deviled eggs. Displays beautifully. Piece can also be used as wall art. On reverse the plate is marked "Weimar" and "Germany". Piece would also make a nice gift.
