Marked for Francis Crump, London, and 1758.

Having central cartouches bearing an engraved heraldic banner with scallop shells, slightly lobed bodies with a left hand twist, repoussé vines, and floral devices throughout.

Supported by a pierced rocaille feet and surmounted by shaped lids with floral finials.

Simply a superb pair of George III silver tea caddies from one the Period's premier Silversmiths!

They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Marks:
Marked to the neck of each caddy (covered by the lid) with an "F.C" Francis Crump's maker's mark, passant lion for sterling, crowned leopard for London, and a C for 1758.
