With a hinged lid that opens to reveal a gilt compartment under glass and gilt interior, a baluster form body, and squat hairy paw feet.

With its original lock, original key, and has a functional lock mechanism.

Marked to the base for Tiffany & Co. / 11041 M 551 / Sterling.

Simply a wonderful early Tiffany box!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition.

Condition Details:
There are several noticeable dents, the largest to the belly of one side and the reverse, and with 3 other noticeable small dents to the lid. There is a slightly mottled finish to the texture of the silver (which might benefit from going under a silversmith's wheel), and some persistent tarnish to the gilded interior. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
