Gouache on canvas, signed ur wkrebs In the original frame Dimensions: 85.5 x 78 x 3 cm Remark: Walter Krebs was born in 1900 and was creatively inspired primarily by the growing years of 1900 and 1910. The Fauves are generally considered to be the first major post-impressionist group to work in the early 20th century. with artists like Henry Matisse in their ranks, the Beasts believed that other bright, worldly colors and energetic brushstrokes were an integral part of their work. At the same time, a young Pablo Picasso. In the late 1920s he developed the first ideas for depicting fractured visions of reality together with his contemporary Georges Braque. This movement became known as Analytical Cubism. The first twenty years of the 20th century can be considered the most productive and are considered the period in art history in which modern and modernist ideas became culturally established. The mechanization of production and the ideas of order and rationality allowed the discipline of architecture to develop extraordinarily quickly and were embodied in the works of Le Corbusier and Gerrit Rietveld. The Bauhaus was dominant at the time and defined the idea of a discipline common to all types of creative art. Most, if not all, of the philosophies of the major artistic movements that we associate with modern and contemporary art can be traced back to the diverse works that emerged during this period.
