This Paul Klee very rare vintage 1958 limited first edition fine art lithograph prints portfolio extra large hardcover Mid Century Modernist art book is an incredibly special and unique book to add to your library collection.
The hardcover portfolio art book with cloth covered binding, and transparent hard plastic dust jacket is published by New York Graphic Society, Greenwich. printed in Italy in 1958 by Silvana Editoriale D'Art, Milano. It features a monograph collection of twenty fine art lithograph print artworks of the artist Paul Klee, with compelling accompanied German language text authored by the famous art critic historian Will grohmann ( 1887 - 1968 ), Droits de Reproductions S.P.A.D.E.M. Paris et Compress, Geneve.
This particular volume is from the author's personal library stamped " Bibliothek Grohmann " on the inside front cover board, it is also edition stamped 11, from the 1st limited edition of 200, additionally it is museum stamped and dated on the inside front title page reverse side " Staatsgalerie Stuttgart 1970 15550 ".

Paul Klee ( 1879 - 1940 ) The Swiss born Modernist artist is attributed to creating some of the most original and colorful paintings of The Twentieth Century. Klee was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. His work reflects the ideas of Symbolism, Expressionism, Cubism, as well the simplicity of The Bauhaus designs. Artworks by Klee are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
This beautiful large format portfolio book presents 20 individual page fine art lithograph prints exquisitely printed on extra heavyweight premium paper stock with saturated vibrant ink colors in a matte finish. There is an attached parchment velum paper protective overlay sheet with each print page. There are also seven black-and-white lithograph print illustrations in the 13-page foreword German text section of the book, and an artworks print plates list with details about each artwork represented.
