His carved ornate fireplaces in homes on Nantucket are considered the finest art. His influence and creations, after 50+ years in his woodcarving career, now extend around the world.

Paul was the resident woodcarver at the USS Constitution Museum, he also hand-carved the whaling scene outside of the world renowned Whaling Museum on Nantucket Island. He transformed the town of Cohasset into “Eastwick” with many hand-carved signs for the movie set “The Witches of Eastwick”.

He won numerous awards and accolades for his life-like bird carvings in multiple competition venues, and for signage in Sign of the Times magazine.

He co-wrote and illustrated two books, Woodcarving Illustrated I and Woodcarving Illustrated II. Additionally, his work is featured in several notable books, including American Eagle: The Bold Art & Brash Life of John Haley Bellamy and Quarterboards: A Unique Art Form, wherein the authors lauded him as one of the finest historical woodcarvers and craftsmen of this century.
