Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, the edge of both backs has been filled and repainted black & the sides of the aluminum bases have a fresh coat of black paint. There are 3 small nicks or tears in the black vinyl that have been repaired. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. Daystrom Company was founded in Olean, NY in 1934 manufacturing metal ashtrays and in 1938 began producing chromium kitchen furniture. Then in 1962 Daystrom moved to South Boston becoming the Daystrom Furniture Company. Daystrom’s casual dining furniture was designed by an in-house design department headed by Ted Van Benschoten. They changed ownership many times and ceased operations in 1996. This set is in wonderful vintage condition.
