The Pheasant was first introduced in 1981 and the production continued until 2015, almost 35 years. The Pheasants are red inside, but have variable colors on top of that. This vintage piece has green and luster patterns on top of red colored glass. Also Displays beautifully with 3 or more birds. See my other listings for options.

Oiva Toikka (1931-2019) is one of the greatest names in Finnish design. The iconic collection of Birds by Toikka first took flight back in 1972 at the Nuutajärvi glass factory with the creation of his small glass Flycatchers. For decades, Iittala’s legendary designers, master glassblowers and teams of glassmakers have innovated with textures, colours and design to create some of the most iconic art glass in the world.

As an interior designer, I purchase (usually at auction) and warehouse art and decorative items of interest. I shop from my warehouse for the finishing touches for my clients' homes. Several items are also listed on Chairish, but if I need them for a project, the listing will be deleted.
