Framed antique hand colored wood engraving depicting "The Fair of St Cloud Near Paris" by Felix Regamey, showing a crowded throng of people enjoying a festival. Engraved by J.W. Palmer, 1871. Framed in a distressed gilded floral frame. This image comes from the Illustrated London News.
"Felix Elie Regamey (1844 - 1907) was active/lived in France. Draughtsman, etcher, engraver and painter; b. Paris, pupil of Lecoq de Boisbaudran; illustrator for various French magazines before he set up his own paper, 'Salut Public,' 1870. After 1873 visited England, America and Japan."
