This is a classic Heco dome clock, made in West Germany in the 1960s. The movement was made by the "H. Coehler Co." This clock is currently NOT WORKING. The weights and spindle and suspension wire have separated from the main part of the clock. I'm not a clock fixer / expert but the main clock parts "look" solid and present -though it may need a new suspension wire. The previous owner has sellotaped some additional smaller parts of the clock to its back (so pic). It has no key. This clock would make a great restoration project for those interested in such things.
Also of interest is the fact that this clock was sourced at the Sony Prop House in Los Angeles which closed down in September 2023. It has an old Sony label on it, so if you think you may have seen this clock in a film or T.V. show, then you probably have! I have no C.O.A. other then the Sony label which I assume was added so as not to lose the clock on a studio set somewhere.
And of course, just as it is, it makes a beautiful centerpiece ornament. One could even take take the clock away and have a nice dome to display a piece of art or other treasure. The dome is in great condition and has a nice oval shape, the size is not to big and not to small.
Measurements: 7 5/8" diameter (at base) x 11" height. It weighs 3lb 15oz.
Great gift for a collector of fine clocks.
