It is hand painted with a nice floral arrangement on white ground on the top of the lid with a fancy gold trim around the white on that amazing deep cobalt blue ground that is covering the rest of the piece. Simple gold line trim to the edge of the lid and main body. One does not come across these larger versions often at all and it's really stunning looking plus quite nice for storing little items like jewelry.
The bottom part is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first quality) underneath as well as the usual impressed marks as shown. The box is 3.25 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter.
