A set of nine beautiful art nouveau wall tiles, divided into three sets of three tiles each mounted on a … more A set of nine beautiful art nouveau wall tiles, divided into three sets of three tiles each mounted on a wooden board. Each individual tile is 8" square. The factory that made these tiles is: Utschneider & Co, Sarreguemines, founded in 1785. The tiles were pressed into a mold with clay powder. After drying and applying decoration in cuerda-seca technique and colored glazes, the tiles were fired in the kiln. These tiles are originally a building material and have been in a tiling of a residential house before. Tiles are in very good condition with nice bright glaze. Only some light traces of use such as tiny glaze chips to sides, visible on the pictures. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
