- A local restaurant was changing their decor so i decided to buy all of the old table tops and bases. … more A local restaurant was changing their decor so i decided to buy all of the old table tops and bases. Therefore we currently have a surplus of cast iron vintage table bases. Every base has been sanded, primed and painted by hand. We used applied 7-10 coats of metallic rose gold paint. The white is finished with an exterior sherwin williams paint and the whole piece has been coated with 3 coats water base poly to protect the paint for a long time. The metallic paint looks incredible from every angle and will add amazing charm to any room less
