This is a cut crystal inkwell with flat sides and all edges are beveled. It has a metal cap of unknown metal, purple color under the cap and is completely clean and clear.
The inkwell measures 2 5/8 inches across each side and each side is just short of 2.00 inches tall. Height is about 2.50 inches.
The hinge on the lid is a bit loose and it sometimes closes more to one side. This may be fixable.
