Artist's Statement:
I have been a professional artist, specializing in celebrating the beauty and diversity of nature in northern Illinois for many years. My work is fed by hours spent in the field, helping out as a volunteer or just out studying it. I really love painting-swirling colors together, going for different effects, strengthening the design. It is really satisfying. I am growing more interested in incorporating people in my work. My desire is to depict the passion and dedication of the people who work to restore the land, and the healing that comes about for both the people and the earth.
