Iconic and elegant English King (Antique Master) chair for the walnut and black velvet headpiece; the arms are sinuous and end in scrolled knuckles; the front legs are straight and square while the back legs are slightly curved, an H-shaped stretcher connects them all reinforcing the entire structure; the pierced lyre-shaped backrest is adorned with carved details whose center, a naturalistically carved feather plume, evokes the iconography of H. HRH the Prince of Wales; the seat is upholstered in a high-quality black velvet; the chair was handcrafted between 1860 and 1865 in London, England, in the pure Hepplewhite style.
